Archetypal Readings
Archetypes are powerful energetic force fields that a lot of people identify with. Thus they become almost like living breathing entities. The ancient cultures used to call them Gods and gave them names like Ares (warrior) or Aphrodite (lover). They can be expressed in the shadow or the light, but in themselves they are neutral.
For example, do you have a person in your life, who insists on special treatment all the time? Chances are that you are dealing with a princess archetype. Is there someone, who is always on the internet reading, researching and communicating? A networker archetype is his or hers. Is there a person, who is able to help you heal your wounds and make you feel better? Then healer is part of his or her archetypal circle. At the same token, is there someone, whose interactions leave you energetically drained? A vampire archetype is active in this person’s energy field.
Have you found yourself rescuing little animals as a child, to move onto rescuing troubled people as an adult? Then rescuer is one of your archetypes. Are you constantly involved in creating things? It could be painting, sewing, cooking or woodworking and have done so all of your life. Artist is one of your archetypes. Do you have a mind for organizing and building things? Can you see how they would be best structured? Engineer is yours.
Everybody has twelve intimate archetypal companions that have been with them throughout their lives. I can help you identify your twelve. After we have found them, we use the astrological wheel, as a tool to determine where in your life they are most active. Depending on what house they fall in, they will express themselves in different areas of your life. For example a hero/heroine archetype, expressed in the light would be someone like Hercules or Xena: A person with a keen sense of justice, who defends those who can not defend themselves and has the power to achieve big. If hero lands in the first house, you would present yourself as a hero. People would see you as one and expect you to accomplish the impossible. In the 6th house you would work in a heroic occupation, where your life would most likely be endangered, like a firefighter or a police officer. In the 11th house, you would be active within an organization for positive changes and justice. Or you could be able to accomplish astonishing energetic feats. A hero in the shadow becomes extremely ego driven and certainly has the power to accomplish things, but only with a personal agenda and often for dark purposes (like Xena’s archenemy Callisto, for example).
Of course the hero’s journey is an archetype in itself, which anyone serious about personal empowerment, will have to embark upon. But there are many books written on that subject.Archetypes are wonderful, because they help us see things more objectively. They also give us a greater understanding of who we are. When we start thinking archetypically, we also activate the 8th chakra, which is actually located above the physical body. The 8th chakra has a clearer connection with the eternal spirit and is the home of archetypes, as well as symbolic acts. It is expansive in nature, like we are, when we vibrate with our truth and higher calling.
